Summer at Boboquivari

"Summertime at Baboquivari" was inspired by a visit to the Buenos Aires Grasslands in SE Arizona.  It  was in the middle of monsoon season, the grasses were green, the trees green and leafed out.  The view of Baboquivari was stunning.  This mountain is a sacred mountain of the T'ohono Odham Indians, and it rises majestically from the range of lower mountains.  With a stormy monsoon sky approaching, and the humid heat of moisture in the grasslands from the rains, Baboquivari just begged to be painted.
