Someone's Home, Once

I saw this collection of abandoned homes and buildings on a driving trip through Northern Washington.  It felt to me like they lived 'in the past', and yet, the pole lines indicated the modern world was available to them.  I was inspired by the scene of quiet and beauty before me. this painting was juried into the San Diego Watercolor Society 2019 International Watermedia Exhibit. It was one of the 90 chosen from the nearly 1000 paintings that had been entered that year.
